I'm working on a piece that has a store logo on top of a white box that is screened back to 75%. We requested vector artwork for the logos but some of the files we received were TIFs. I dropped out the background on those and saved the TIF files with a transparent background, so they look nice on the screened white box underneath, and therefore I avoid a white box behind the logo. When I compose a print-ready PDF, those specific TIF files do not show up at all on the composed file. The vector graphics look great. Does this mean that FP doesn't support transparencies? I also tried using a GIF file with transparent background settings and not only did it enlarge the graphic by about 4 times the original size, it placed it in some weird random place in my template and I couldn't adjust it because the Previewer wasn't working properly and I couldn't see the graphic itself. (The only other file I could think of that would save transparency settings was a PNG file but that's not supported by FP, according to the Training Manual.) Can anyone advise on this?
