Summer, Here is something that, although not "officially" supported, has worked in the past with this issue.
1. Open the TIF in Illustrator 2. Go to File > Save As... 3. Select Adobe PDF as the format 4. In the Save Adobe PDF dialog, ensure that "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities" is selected 5. Save the PDF and use the PDF as the image. This will retain the transparencies in the PDF and, since it is already a PDF, bypasses the Adobe PDF Library which flattens images and kills transparencies. Good luck! Rob Training and Communications Developer, Printable Technologies(tm), Inc. -----Original Message----- Hi Alex, if I flatten the TIF files, it makes a white background in the file. That's not what I want. I want the background to be transparent. There are no other files in Photoshop that will support transparent backgrounds besides GIF and PNG files (which I also referenced in my other message). Any other ideas? The background MUST be transparent, I have no way around that. The client has specified that to me and my hands are tied. I have to figure out how to excecute that. ~Summer +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- FusionPro 5.0 Now Available!
