Hey there Rob, I tried doing what you advised and I can't get it to work. I cannot even get Illustrator to open the transparent TIF. I get an error that says that "this type of file format is not supported". I tried saving the TIF file in CS2 (I primarily use CS3) and opening it in Illustrator CS2, with the same results. I also tried going to File > Place, and nothing.
