Trying this question again, I only recvd 1 answer from [EMAIL PROTECTED] which
stated "select booklet maker on the Konica 6500 and then choose to insert sheet
from tray whatever". I can't do this because we don't have the booklet maker
for the KonicaC6500. However I did use the "exception page" functionality on
the printer (not the Creo Rip) which let me set Tray 4 to be used for pages 1-2
and Tray 5 to be used for pages 3-6. The problem with this setup is you have to
send the KonicaC6500 one record (one job at a time) and this takes forever.
After grueling hours trying to understand the PPD file codes and printing
numerous documents to file to get the postscript codes for tray calls and
duplex this is what I came up with......

Plain.ps file:
%SCIPPD: DFE Duplex Head2Head

%SCIPPD: DFE MediaType Plain

%SCIPPD: DFE Weight 75_80gsm

%SCIPPD: DFE ForceTray Yes

%SCIPPD: DFE InputSlot Tray4(PF-601)

Color.ps file:
%SCIPPD: DFE Duplex Head2Head

%SCIPPD: DFE MediaType ColorCopy

%SCIPPD: DFE Weight 75_80gsm

%SCIPPD: DFE ForceTray Yes

%SCIPPD: DFE InputSlot Tray5(PF-601)

This will duplex the job but not pull trays except for the first record only
after that the stock all comes from Tray5. It seems as if the CreoRip doesn't
understand the true concept of dynamically pulling stock from different trays
in a print stream. Can anybody help me on this? Trying to get help from Creo or
Konica on this matter is like trying to call the planet Mars with a " Dick
Tracy" radio wristwatch.

$$$$$$$$$ For Printable personnel Mark, Dan, Alex, Lauren, Ching, anyone see
below ..... I'm desperate

Also if anyone from Printable is listening can we please come up with a better
way for FusionPro to interface with various PPD files to make the tray pull
process much easier. I would love to help in the design interface. It's crazy
that pulling trays in HP PCL language is so much easier than postscript due to
all the various flavors out there in the print arena. ****Printable why not try
HPPCL as an output stream??******

Anyone from Printable can you also modify FusionPro so that when selecting PDF
mode for output doesn't "gray out" the selection for choosing a printer to
output to, believe it or not alot of the new printers can accept a PDF file as
input as well as a postscript file.
$$$$$$$$$$$

Thank you all for reading my long email but I need help and help fast.

Subject: [fusionpro] Tray Pulls on the Konica C6500 Creo IC-304 Rip

Hello Everyone,
Just starting to use FP 5.1 on windows paltform with Acrobat 8.1 and I
have a job in which I need to pull paper from 2 different trays. I've read
previous post on this matter but none seem to help when dealing with the
Konica C6500 Creo IC-304 rip. If anyone knows how to do tray pulls using
this printer please let me know:

1. Do postscript.txt files go before or after a page call?
2. Does every page need a media call if job is duplex?
3. Does anyone have the proper code.
4. Printable how can you make this process easier (I'm more than willing
to send you all a variety of PPD files so you can come up with a visual
print interface).

Thanks in Advance for any and all help
Cody Williams
