Jon, I may have missed it, but I don't think you mentioned what fonts you were using in the design document. You did mention that the document had been on a Mac which may have Unicode fonts installed by default. Alternatively, most Windows machines do not come with Unicode fonts preinstalled. So it might be that a font substitution from a Unicode Font to a Non-Unicode font is causing the problem. In any case, open your document in Acrobat and click on FusionPro>Advanced>Advanced Settings. At the bottom of this menu there is a selection to enable Asian Character Support and "Unicode display font" drop down list. The font listed here needs to a Unicode font such as Arial Unicode MS. If there are no Unicode fonts on your system or the Unicode fonts you have are not as robust as the original font, this may cause the display problems you are having. You should also check the font that is currently being used in the text frame. If for instance your original font was Arial Unicode MS and no Unicode font was available on your machine, the font may now be listed as just Arial which will also cause display problems. If this is the case, you either need to install a Unicode font or change the font being used in the Design document to something that is non-Unicode.
