To fix this problem I closed acrobat 7, reopened file, unchecked subset fonts but kept embed fonts checked and composed new ppml. Honestly, when weird stuff like this will happen (we have four fusion pro desktop users/installs ranging from 3.2, 4.0 to 4.1) and we will either just close down acrobat and reopen doc and it will just work on next ppml compose or we will rebuild problem doc from scratch and then it will be fixed. (I am fairly convinced for this problem, unchecking subset fonts fixed problem- I took a closer look at the font subs, and it was mostly just the lowercase "n" subbing.)
I am wondering if a different fusion product like the direct product would help make sure stuff like this doesn't happen. Has anyone else moved from desktop product to another fusion product for problem solving/increase reliability? (we are also heading towards a scale reason to look at other products) Mark Subject: Re: ppml, fusion 4.1, igen3 From: Brian Ray <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Mon, 2 Apr 2007 14:41:45 -0500 X-Message-Number: 7 On Apr 2, 2007, at 2:30 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Several pdfs designated as varaible images have font subs in final > ppml > hardcopy output. It could be just about anything: queue settings, global font handling settings, software change... Maybe, go back and see if anything at all has changed on the iGen3's DFE.
