If you check out the KnowledgeBase programming about repeating a number of business cards, you can get an idea on how to to ExternalDataFileEx programming. This will allow you to keep a running log of what was printed/ordered to date. I'm not sure about the actual programming codes for this by I can give you an idea of what to try.

1. Create a text file that you'll use as a running log file, and set it initially to 0.

2. Create an OnJobStart rule that reads this, skips down to the last record entry and reads the latest amount. This is where the KB example will help you.

3. You can then pass this number via a global variable setting from OnJobStart and set you current job counter to that number + 1.

4. You'll need to keep track of the amount that you run for your current job.

5. Then in an OnJobEnd rule add the two numbers (from step 2 and step 4) together to get a new starting value that you write back to your log file.

I know it may be a little confusing, but I hope this helps.
