Hi!   Economics doesn’t have to be complicated   A new website by Steve Cord offers among other things a summary and a partial list of studies of the results of a simple change of local taxes from building values to land values.   In all 237 studies around the world, the results have been positive with building increasing, vacant and under improved sites disappearing, along with a general economic improvement for each city.   Twenty two of them have been in Pennsylvania where there is a strong movement to save the disintegrating city of Philadelphia from itself by changing to land-value taxation.
