Briefly, the Big Pharma strategy against omega-3 consists of 4 approaches:

1) In practice, it's simply not available as a medical drug, or only in
ineffective forms or doses. So you can only get it as a supplement.

2) The dietary supplements are usually available only in low doses at
very high prices, about 70-200 times higher than the bulk material
(the site you mentioned is also pretty expensive), so for most people
it is hardly possible to reach the therapeutic dose.

3) Hardly any doctor will recommend this oil to his patients, and only
very few pharmacies will offer it at all. They prefer harmful chemicals
and ineffective placebos (homeopathy).

4) Mainstream food (not only junk food) contains hardly any omega-3 but
large amounts of its antagonists, for reasons of profit maximization
(the antagonists are cheaper and much more durable in processing & storage).

Worse, an EU regulation that bans sensible doses of vitamin and mineral
supplements is planned to be extended to these essential fatty acids,
and in mid-term these bans are also planned for the US by the FDA.
I.e. Big Pharma plans to outright ban this vital substance!

It can't be produced synthetically, and CH doesn't have a high-seas fishing
fleet...
