Nope Chris. The study was across the board. All three types of Art were
included. Complex Art, Commercial and Religious Art and Vulgar Art. It
seems that Art stimulates commerce wherever it is found. When the Art on
Times Square was basically vulgar art a few years back, there was still
plenty of subsidiary business stimulated by the presence of those
pornographic theaters. After they were cleaned up and it became more
"respectable" there was still plenty of subsidiary business stimulated by
the presence of those fancy theaters. It was nicer and more profitable
because of the presence of big convention hotels who located in the new
sector. Next to the financial sector the Cultural sectors stimulate the
most business in New York City. I'm not sure what it is now but a few
years back the sector was an 11 Billion dollar business. Good to hear from
you Chris. How's Switzerland?

Art can enhance productivity, but obviously this strongly depends on the
kind of art (and also on the "consumer") -- even to the point of decreasing
productivity, and to have negative side effects ("death metal" etc.).

In other words, the fact that some art can enhance productivity
doesn't entitle every artist to "11-fold" payment...
