Sorry Harry, Been through this at least forty or fifty times before with
you and it's going nowhere. I don't live on a salary. I earn my keep
and have to work even though I will be 69 this week. I never did like
institutions. They kept recycling the same arguments as the kids changed.
I've had the privilege of working with people who studied and worked their
entire career under my tutelage. It taught me about sustainability,
change of materials, organic growth and the value of the progress of
knowledge.

I happen to like you. Your spirit and your virtual smile. I feel the
same way about Keith through his beard. But your stories about culture,
race, economics and even your science are just out of date to my
experience. They bear absolutely no relationship to my experience as I've
worked for fifty years in these environs. Sort of like Rand Paul and his
father. Don't relate much to them either. My environment has been too
diverse and the demands on me for success has forced me to continually
reevaluate what my assumptions are so they don't become killers. They
have given me a greater appreciation for my people because the knowledge is
practical and has a clear method for the diminution of complexity and the
growth of personal mastery.

I don't see where the four year academic process of scale education has
given America the ability to succeed in the complicated universe of today.
America has even term limited it's leaders which makes sure that they will
grow useful only after they are out of a job. The best ones are usually
the dumb ones who can keep everyone entertained but are useless for the real
problems of the world. Think, giving cookies from a mother of an obese
child to children who are addicted to sugar. That one is being considered
for President of the United States and control of the red button.

I have a lot to do and although I like you both virtually, I'm afraid I
don't have time for either of you. Sorry, but if I come to LA maybe we
could have coffee and a pleasant afternoon and you could show me your
school.

best.

REH
