For history one needs to realize that they are simply the end result of a
particular history that successfully got them here. They are the
singularity of a complex historical Venturi effect. Personal Mastery
becomes the only way to handle the energy in a venturi vortice. Art is the
only process we have as a foundation as human beings to gain that Mastery.
That's why the great master businesspeople, Priests, Doctors, Educators,
Scientists, Politicians are all called "Artists" at what they do. If you
recognize your history you will want to know who your own Masters were in
order to live a better life.

Thanks Barry, very interesting. It helps me understand context for the

almost by the minute. Any other thoughts?

I am struck by the apparent inability of most people to remember history,
much less learn from it! I'm also highly concerned by the
anti-intellectualism that has such a strong stranglehold on most
working-class people's thinking in my part of the country. It's not that
they don't have a good education that bothers me, so much as that they don't
want a good education. They seem to think that knowledge is a negative thing
(perhaps because it interferes with belief?)!

Other thoughts at this point are too incoherent and poorly formulated to
attempt expression.
