I think he would have said something like you are allowing the issuing of currency without a central financial control? Nonsense. What to do now? I think a case can be made for individual nations opting out and going back to national currencies and allowing those currencies to find their value vis a vis others. I also think that critics of Keynes haven't read him properly. He said to deficit finance in bad times and pay down the debt during good times. Nations heard the first part and conveniently forgot the second part. Printing money has occurred when times were bad but continued during and after recovery in many cases for many nations.
