What the Germans inflicted upon Europe, Jewry, AND, let's not forget, the 
Slavs, Gypsies, homosexuals, mental patients, and 'political deviants.'

I agree with Keith's assessment with how lingering the German 
fascist/imperialist sentiment is. Even now, Germany bends over backwards to 
inoculate itself against accusations of still harboring those sentiments.
