Chrystia Freeland has a new book out, "Plutocrats". I looked at it as a bookstore today, but at $32 I decided to wait for the paperback edition or at least until next payday. What it deals with is the tremendous disparity in wealth between the very rich and the 99%. Henry George figures into it because Freeland says that a lot of the income the very rich get is derived from owning, not producing, i.e. they are "rentiers".
Freeland, who comes from remote northern Alberta, has done very well as an international journalist. I believe Harry Pollard knew her when she was a child.
