I think most of us would agree that Chrystia Freeland is one of the
most perceptive commentators around.
As for me, having been deprived of decent reading/thinking material
after a fortnight in an acute hospital ward, her book will serve as a
welcome (?) into the real world.
I imagine her book is an extension of a long essay she wrote on
Reuters about a year ago after a series of interviews with some of
the richest men in the world.

Henry George figures into it because Freeland says that a lot of the
income the very rich get is derived from owning, not producing, i.e.

Freeland, who comes from remote northern Alberta, has done very well
as an international journalist. I believe Harry Pollard knew her
when she was a child.
