Yes, most of the Yanks that I knew who moved to Canada moved to "the Peaceable Kingdom" not to Harper's Canada which seems to be continuously looking for a war, any war he can get us involved in (including one's that were fought 200 years ago... presumably so he can pay off his war profiteering friends and satisfy his supporters who are fixated on uniforms, discipline and guns...

Was that addressed to me or to Arthur? We moved to Canada in 1969. But we moved to Nova Scotia which, I later learned, was regarded by much of the rest of the nation as Canada's hilbilly Ozarks. In addition, I moved to a *part* of Nova Scotia that, in many ways, was still in the early '50s in comparison with, say, central Ohio. There were more families, ours among them, on my 6-mile long rural road who owned draught animals that those that didn't. No, I don't think it was Harper's Canada. Because we had no phone, two guys from the government came to our door to make sure we were enrolled in the health care program. Or maybe that's not what you were asking... - Mike -- Michael Spencer Nova Scotia, Canada .~. /V\ [email protected] /( )\ http://home.tallships.ca/mspencer/ ^^-^^ _______________________________________________ Futurework mailing list [email protected] https://lists.uwaterloo.ca/mailman/listinfo/futurework _______________________________________________ Futurework mailing list [email protected] https://lists.uwaterloo.ca/mailman/listinfo/futurework
