Steve,

Sorry to get you so riled up.

However, the real reason for your anger is that I have told you that you
(and your choir) have come up with a problem for which there is no
solution. You and the rest of your choir won't accept that, but it is true.

Isn't it?

You continue with it because you are a true believer. I suspect most or all
the organizations you mention continue it because they now have a vested
interest in overpopulation. There is a lot of money to be made in selfless
advocacy.

Interestingly, there is a chance that the analysis that begins with the two
assumptions can solve - or alleviate - your perceived problem.

I am verbose because I try to put all that needed to understand what I'm
getting at. Yet, you complain that I "TOTALLY AVOIDED the ARTIST, MUSICIAN,
ACTOR efforts".

You don't like it when I go on, and you don't like it when I stop.

Then, you got really personal. I must say I have never been to a gym.

AHA! You say.

In 1970, I began running to and from the post office which is about 1.5
miles from me at the bottom of an 800 ft. drop. Going down, I would fly. Up
- not so good. About 15 years ago I suddenly on the way down decided to do
some interval running (speeding , then slowing). I hadn't stretched enough
for this, so I soon yelped because I had yanked my Achilles tendon. It
wasn't until after I had completed the 3 miles that I looked it up and
found I should have stopped running.

Runners run through pain but I shouldn't have done it this time.

Then I found that while I couldn't run, I could walk. So I walked the three
miles - or up to 6 when I felt like it. I also went up the mountain on my
3-7 miles schedule. It's all up and down. I only once got to the top of the
5,500 ft mountain, but it wasn't bad for a non-athlete in his late 60's.

No I've never been to a gym. If you don't have a nearby mountain, I suggest
you go patronize the gym. It's better than patronizing me.

If the only way to accomplish your desire is to exert to the limit, that
may be what you will do. In no way is that outside the boundaries of the
assumptions. Your desire is not to exert, but to get the "high" (in my case
nothing more than a sense of well-being).

I don't understand your laziness bit. I've pointed out that I'm saying that
humans are greedy, lazy and selfish - but of course I was kidding. The
assumptions are observations about people. That's all.

I suppose nowhere will you find so much pompous certitude as among the
ranks of the ZeePoppers. They continuously ruminate on a problem with no
solution. Earth, carrying with it the human race, is going to hell in a
hand basket, and they can do nothing about it. It must be frustrating so I
can understand your feelings.

Yet, there may be a solution.

Harry
