Brad, Good question re why the settlements are destroyed. One answer is that there never was any unallocated land on the West Bank and, therefore, the settlements were on private property.
Re US troops on the West Bank, they would be targets of Hamas and other groups and would create major headaches for Bush. We should pay for contingents of troops from nonaligned countries.
