Chris, That was my first reaction and I am sure that that is the way it happened. It is typically British. The separation of Public and State schools creates societal divisions far greater than that between US private and government schools. I spent a year in a British Foreign Service Institute and was astounded by the lack of interaction between the Military and the Foreign Service participants.
