While I do not take offense at the notion that Kelly was somehow terminated by forces operating in the shadows (such an idea does not seem to me at all "outrageous", e.g.), until evidence turns up, I am inclined to see this as a case of the pressure of his interrogation having driven him to kill himself. At this point, it looks to me like Kelly "lied" to the House of Commons committee when he said he did not believe he was the major source of the BBC reporter's information. And he probably did not have the character-armor to shrug this off. I was sepecially struck with how his employer explained that Kelly had not been threatened with termination of his job -- which sounds to me a lot like the mafia explaining to someone that they were *not* being threatened.... The reason I feel this way is that I believe inquisitors might be able to pressure me to act similarly. "And history continues...."
