I am done with the new notification area support and preferences. I am doing
some code cleanup and reread the emails to be sure at I don't forget something.

Why not do a greater shift with the version number. I think at the possibility
to generate the missing menu entries is a major enhancement as it add
freedesktop compatibility to the application menu.

I think at 3.9.0 or something like that will be better because it will show to
the user at some important new features have been merged into Crystal.

On many websites as sourceforge, they suggest to release often. As the
gnome-session support seam to be bugs prone, I suggest to implement it at the
same time as the code cleanup-debugging needed for the stable release.

We can also do a new devel release (3.9.1 or similar) when we are thinking at
gnome-session support is working.
