Setting our own fonts would be a major mistake, (in my opinion).
The choice should be on the client side.

I never saw any point to Serifs.  Theoretically, they increase
readability, but I don't get it.

In mozilla, its easy to pick:

edit->preferences->appearance->fonts->proportional->sans serif
