Hi Wes, I am located in New Zealand and use MimeSweeper, have done for 3
years, I have found our local VAR to be very good for first line questions.
I have also used the Australian Mimesweeper people direct via email and
found them very good, my questions have been answered within a day, which
has been fine for me.
I think you will find that they are not busy due to viruses, but busy cause
"everyone" wants to buy their product due to recent events, so their are a
lot of installation queries going on.(IMHO) (this goes for all other content
vendors as well)
There is a [EMAIL PROTECTED] email address as well as phones.
The product itself has been very reliable, we use the SMTP version, and is
the version I would recommend over the CVP version as it is their tier 1
platform (IMHO)and seems to have updates sooner.
We use it only for mail and not web proxying. Have had three errors with it
, two being hardware related and the other we inadvertently allowed it to
mail relay (lets call that a user error). We are still running V3 rather
than 4.
cheers
deanc

Subject: [FW1] MimeSweeper
I am evaluating a couple of products for Virus Scanning and content
filtering.
For those of you using MimeSweeper, how do you find their sales and tech
support. I have had very little luck at getting through to their tech
support or sales staff. A local VAR has made excuses for them saying they
are just to busy because of the viruses that have been released lately.
I would just like to know if I can count on this company or not. What are
the experiences of those using the product?
