I have just received my copy of CheckPoint 2000 CD which includes the
FW-1/VPN-1 release 4.1. I am currently running CheckPoint FireWall-1
release 4.0 Patch 3.
I have the following configuration:
3x Sun Ultra Enterprise 250 Servers. 2 of those servers are our actual
firewalls running in High Availability with StoneBeat (v3.0). The other
Sun is the Firewall Management station and StoneBeat Management station.
I plan on working on one box at a time, but am concerned with any
upgrade concerns any of you all may have gone through. Before I go
about mucking about with my firewall, I wanted to ask (I know this has
probably been posted a million times), have any of you had any issues or
severe problems, or know of any tips or tricks involved in upgrading my
release of Firewall-1?
I'm thinking of upgrading the FWMaster first, then FWSecondary then
failing over to the secondary and upgrading FWPrimary.
Any suggestions?
