I see nothing wrong with Seti itself but...
Food for thought :

1)
SetiAt home homepage has been hacked months ago and replaced by the
photo of Alf. Next time the bad guys could replace the EXE by
trojaned versions.

2)
Also, it's not open source. It could compute stuff to help the NSA
decrypt private emails from drugs cartel and you would never know.
