I think wiki format has one serious downside - it's not meant for
distribution. Also, I am not sure how easy it would be to
automatically process it - e.g., taking PHP manual as example, there
are tools that use PHP manual to automatically extract functions,
classes, descriptions, etc. for various purposes. Docbook XML
structure allows for that. Wiki most probably won't. So unless there
are solutions for these two problems - distirubution and automatic
processing - for wiki format, I would say it is worse than docbook
format.
