There's a government grant to offset doctors offices costs in adopting EMRs that qualify as furthering the cause of "meaningful use" (don't ask me...) http://www.switch.purdue.edu/ So my mother in law's pediatric office, down south of Greenwood, IN decided to get themselves a new EMR system. VistA, from the Department of Veteran Affairs, was one solution they were looking at; my wife was having a conversation with my father in law about this when she was down there last weekend, and they were leaning towards that one.
