Belkin F5D7010 is the card I tried to use (V .6000) and it's not even seen as being inserted into the PC card slot, plus the 2 Motorola WN825G cards (which are seen but not identified in 9.2.2 and not seen in 10.1.5) plus 3 Orinoco (of which only the Compact version of Orinoco with the external att. is seen as a Pcmia card and identified as "Compact" in 9.2.2 but is not seen in 10.1.5) - all these card are "used" and of course could be defective - but I'm getting nowhere.
The "wireless driver install" wants 9.2 or 10.2 - and I am stuck at 10.1.5, and do not know if a "classic driver install" is possible at this point. All this on a Wallstreet first edition 233 that has a screen lock up on a clean install of 10.2, and pizza wheel of death at the very end of an "upgrade", but which was running 10.2.8 at one point in June. Frustrating to say the least, as Airport setup can not start until an airport card is detected. If I could get 9.2.2 wireless to work I'd stop there. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of William Jeffrey Wiseman Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2008 12:50 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [SPAM?] Re: wireless On Sep 21, 2008, at 9:34 AM, Simon Royal wrote: > > Hi. > > Check out my site, there is a mac wifi card page, all cards were > tested on a lombard. > > Simon > > --- www.simonroyal.co.uk and www.nmug.org.uk (sent using Nokia E71) Simon, the v.1xxx Belkin F5D7010 cards are also Broadcom based and are seen as Airport cards. I'm currently using one in a Pismo, one in a Lombard, and sold one with a Wallstreet recently. All worked perfectly and all were various v.1xxx Jeff --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's G-Books list, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
