If I understood you well: Your system was installed when the CD-drive was
still in?! Then you changed the optical drive from CD to DVD without doing
anything to the system?!
Saw this problem before: Your system may miss the needed DVD-ext.
Use TomeViewer to pick these from the install-disk or do an Archieve +
(Re)Install.
