Yeah, ditto. My 5th gen (60GB) was used for journey in to work (~ 1.5 hours) during work (variable, average probably about 4 hours) and journey home (~1.5 hours) and would last around 3 - 4 days. Remembering that I often watch video (usually podcasts like Geekbrief, Systm and Diggnation, mostly things that are under an hour) for part of the journey. I still get a good 10 - 15 hours out of it. But, originally, it lasted more like 20 hours. Yours is rated at over 12+ hours originally (Apple claimed 15 I believe). Loss of ~25% over 3 years is reasonable, so ignoring Apples over optimistic figures - 10 hours is about right. The loss will be subtle, especially for a non video iPod, but it will def have happened. It still manages over 10 hours of playback, and the damn thing has been > used pretty much everyday since I got it. Mine too. But, you're regularly (or were) charging and discharging it. So long as this happens fairly frequently, you won't see significant issues. You *will* have lost some capacity though - that's unavoidable.
