Jeff, Offer to take it back and refund the purchase price. It will save you a lot of grief and you can list it again - and probably sell to someone else. You reputation and peace of mind is worth more than disputing the buyer. If the buyer paid via PayPal, that's where you are going to wind up if they file a claim. The buyer is responsible for returning your item(s). You only refund what they paid.
Again, if PayPal was involved, it is fairly simple. Do check out your items upon return to make sure they are undamaged and are actually the items you sold/sent. If not, you file a claim with PayPal. It's too late now, but never sell without recording serial numbers. It is too easy for people to harvest your working parts and return your item with their bad parts.
