I'm trying to get my old Pismo ready to give a friend. When I start it up there's a brief but steady tone, then it chimes after a few seconds. What does the tone signify? It's similar to a dial tone (but that isn't it). I'll appreciate any help I can get. My friend is waiting patiently.
