This is because of that whole "I decided to try and bypass the whole  
Xpostfacto thing" part. XPF doesn't only fool the Installer into  
working it adds .kexts that are needed by OS X to function.

Also, back when I has a Mac subject to the 8GB limit, I had to take it  
down to 7.65 GB or so when re-partitioning the disk for 10.2, or the  
OS X installer kept saying it couldn't install.

Also, I don't think 9.2.2 is supported on the Wall Street.
