I just revived a Kanga G3 and got some questions about it. First, the screen hinges are a bit loose. any way to tighten them up?
The original hard drive was having problems in that it was booting slow and having problems reading so I replaced it and got OS 8.1 installed on it. I'd like to see if I could recover some of the data off the old hard drive but how could I do it? I guess I can't read it on a any windows machine because of the different file formats. I do have various other PPC and older macs if they could somehow read this failed IDE drive. I want to get wireless up and running on this kanga. I've got a Cisco AIR-LMC350 wifi NIC I can use but I can't find drivers for it. I found a web page that said 8.6 is supported, but other sites say 9.x is needed. As I have 8.1 installed right now, I'll need to find a way to upgrade it. How do I go about setting up the wireless NIC? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are a member of G-Books, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
