Ahh yes... the dreaded iBook video problem...

If you remove the bottom, grab a small stack of business cards, and  
place them between the metal shield (on the square indentation in the  
shield) and the bottom case, then replace the bottom, it should boot  
and hold up for a while. What you'll be effectively doing is shimming  
the video chip, which has become slightly dislodged from the board.

The C-clamp would also work for a while, but you risk damaging the  
case and lowering the resale value. For steps on how to remove the  
bottom of the case, refer to ifixit.com.
