I would try to reseat the RAM with all power supply off no battery, no AC no
PRAM battery. OWC has a video on the PRAM. battery.
I had to do this with a TiBook recently maybe it will work with the Pismo. If
that fails, I know this will sound dumb But This is how I
usually decide to put in a logic board.. Put the machine in a big ZIP LOC and
freeze for at least an hour. Remove and boot
at once. If it comes up leave it up for a few hours. If it fails again, I can
tell you where to get a logic board cheap.

Subject: pismo not starting up from x partition

Hey folks. I went to use my pismo that the kids have used for games
and I seem to have a small problem in getting it to boot up from the
10.4 partition. The 9.2 part boots up just fine, though.

So in troubleshooting, my 12 year old son and I did the following:
-force it to start up from the 10.4 partition by holding down "x" on
startup.
-reset PRAM several times in a row.(4-5times).
-force start from dvd, to no avail. I tried this same disk with
another pismo and it booted up ok with it. Then used the second
pismo's dvd drive in the defunct pismo, unsuccessful.

So I'm not exactly sure what next to do. Any ideas?
