Howdy Felix Well I finally got down to trying to install Panther on a Wally 300 512. So far I think it's happening. Very slooooow. After I read your thread I downloaded XPostFact , read the instructions and screwed up twice, had to start from an OS9 install disk to fix the drive. After that It started to work.
I had a hard time understanding the way that the install is done by running XPostfacto from the same drive that the install is going on. Scared the crap out of me when all that writing began to scroll down the monitor. 1.5 hours for the first CD so far. I hope after the 10.3.5 I can get Tiger on it before Monday comes:-) The machine is a 300MHZ with 512 RAM my Panther is coming from one of my iMac 600s it ran quite well on the 10.3.5 and then I updated it to 10.3.9 before the Tiger went on all the iMacs. Do you think after Panther is on it and all is well I can put the drive in a TiBook to do a Tiger install or am I better of sticking with Panther?
