I have an iBook 800 that I wiped and I am in the process of installing OS 10.2.8.

I installed 10.1 from a set of ibook recovery disks I just found, and then I used a 10.2 upgrade disk. This seemed to go ok, but when I booted up after the 10.2 upgrade, the resolution was set to 640x480 in a small window in the middle of the screen.

When i go to the display control panel, it says it is set to 1024x786, which is clearly in error.

Furthermore, if I try and open the hard drive icon, or a USB drive icon on the desktop, the screen blinks and nothing otherwise happens. An external monitor doesnt change this.

This would appear to be some sort of video driver issue. Booting into open firmware and reset-nvram/reset-all doesnt help.

I have the vague recollection of hearing about this before but a google search didnt help.

thanks,

Tom
