I have an iBook 800 that I wiped and I am in the process of installing
OS 10.2.8.
I installed 10.1 from a set of ibook recovery disks I just found, and
then I used a 10.2 upgrade disk. This seemed to go ok, but when I
booted up after the 10.2 upgrade, the resolution was set to 640x480 in
a small window in the middle of the screen.
my suggestion is to change your mind and install at least panther or
better tiger: I suppose you own a G3: I recently dismissed an iBook G3
for a G4, mine was a 500 dual usb but maxing RAM (640MB) running fine
with both OSX, and moreover well usable on the web with latest safari
upgrade, skype and itunes ... with jaguar you will encounter plenty limits.
