HD formatted incorrectly? Needs OS 9 drivers perhaps?

Reformatting the HD is normally destructive to the data currently on the HD. You may be able to add the required OS 9 drivers non- destructively by using Disk FirstAid to "Update OS 9 drivers", but I don't know this is possible, it's just a supposition that I've never had confirmed by anyone. To reformat the HD you'll need to do this with Drive Setup in OS 9 or Disk Utility in OS X. Set it as HFS+ with Apple Partition Map and if you're using Disk Utility check the box of OS 9 drivers.
