I don't think this is correct. I've got a 500MHz 12" G3, and my friend
has an 800MHz 14" G3, the same as the original poster has. Both these
G3 iBooks came with the same identical grey CD for OS 9, which was
labelled:
Mac OS version 9.2.1
CD version 1.0
691-3244-A
As far as I know, there was no 9.2.2 installer CD for any of the G3
iBooks, they all came with this same grey CD, which is very close to
the retail installer in that it also works on almost all Macs with the
exception of the MDD. I don't think the installer CD is his problem
unless he has a different CD than this one, which can be compared by
the part # 691-3244-A.
