I have a 9.2.2 installer that came with one of my iMac G3 600 that has so far installed on any PPC that I've stuck it in from Wally to G4 MDD. So I sure made copies of that. The only machine that gets funny with it is some G4 MDDs need a special ROM in the system folder to boot so I have a complete 9.2.2 system on a CD that I drag to install.
