As long as a person gets the proper amount of protein, carbs, vitamins, minerals, etc. it doesn't matter what the source is. Meat does contain complete protein, but so does soy, and other vegetable sources can be combined to give the essential amino acids. Someone who wants to try vegetarianism and just eats salads will suffer. Someone who only eats hamburger will suffer. For me it was a choice of ethics, ecology, and family history (a lot of cancer in the family, which if you're genetically predisposed to, even diet won't stop). But since I've been a vegetarian since 1975, and considering that I've donated 23.25 gallons of blood, I think I'm doing the right things--even tho I AM on meds for cholesterol, HBP, that sort of thing---which runs in my family. :) I now return the discussion to Mac-related issues. :) Howard -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Books, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
