That's one hell of a Smurf you've got there... ;-)
Seriously speaking, whether or not the Ipad can do multitasking is
completely beside the point. It is not a full-fledged computer,
huh? Not a full-fledged computer?! What's it missing?
A computer == One or more CPUs & FPUs, cache, memory bus, ram, nvram,
i/o bus, hd (ssd), wi-fi, bluetooth, i/o port(s), and (optionally) a
display and various input devices (keyboard, mouse, trackpad, etc)...
It's got all those. So how is it not a full-fledged computer?
it is a niche device, with a niche market in mind.
"Niche" is a synonym for crippled by politics and a bad OS?
My netbook cannot stream Netflix movies (paradoxically, it cannot
install the necessary Silverlight plug-in because this one thinks it
is a G4 computer, even though it's running Snow Leopard), among other
things. Does it make it less useful? Nope.
Sounds like you farked something there. It's an x86 processor - has
to be to run SL. So why would it identify itelf as a G4?
