I second the idea of buying several! I bought one from China too, for $1.00 shipped. I couldn't believe they could sell it so cheap - the shipping alone has got to be MUCH more than a dollar from China. Crazy. Anyway, I too realized that I'd have to snip a pin. I cut the one that (I thought) made the most sense, and of course it didn't work at all after that. I just figured, "Cheap piece of crap was no good". Didn't dawn on me until reading your post that I might have cut the wrong pin and ruined it myself. (duh!) So yes, buy several!
It's my understanding that a CF card (even 200x) is going to be much slower than, say a 5400rpm HD. Is that your experience? Or do you think the CF card is equal to or faster than the HD?
