I had an iBook G3 with the video issue, same thing really. I took the bottom case off and placed 2 quarters on the video chip, put it back together and it worked fine. I used it for a few months and then sold it. The person I sold it to knows the issue so if I decide to open it up, they win 50 cents :) Jeremiah S.
