Hi Yes the NewWorld Macs (Lombard and upward) have the 128GB limit. Some of the later G4s didnt have the LBA limit.
My Pismo has a 60GB drive in it. (OSX 48GB. OS9 5GB. Linux 5GB) and runs with no problem.
