They are superb machines that could be a standard, such as a Pismo,
but with the
fully user friendly wish list option of upgradeable Video and
Processor.
Since the Processor on a Pismo is a plug in..what gives aye?
But they did integrate the Video to the board so that makes
that  a big problem for casual hardware hackers.

To me though, the biggest thing creating that gap
between older tech and current web standards are what
puts the wedge in making obsolecense..not the tools themselves
as Photoshop can still be useful at version 1.0
Version 6 does amazing things too, but it's just more doo-dads..

So it's Flash and bloated code that are making life
a bit unfair to those people who are practical.
They keep telling you, that these standards upgrades
are for the better, but things are getting worse and buggier.
If you people don't care
you will lose all options for freedom of search of content you wish
for..
they are trying very hard to shut down information sources..
and if you disagree, then do 5 minutes of research, you will see
if you just look.
