When I wake from sleep the menu bar at the top - only the right hand
side which has the Airport, sound, battery, date and Spotlight icons
stops responding. If you hover your mouse over the menu it just shows
a spinning SPOD and wont allow you to click on anything.
Those items are driven by the process 'SystemUIServer'. Check your
system and console logs for error messages. Also look for crash
logs. Try force quitting it from Activity Monitor. Launchd should
automagically restart it.
Does the problem occur if only the display sleeps?
